Hi! I’m Kristen Patterson, the owner behind Sorted & Staged Home Enhancement Services. I realized pretty early on in life that I had a deep passion for motivating others to live more efficiently and it comes naturally to me. As an only child, I occupied much of my time decluttering and organizing out of boredom. As a teen, I was helping my friends sort, reorganize, and rearrange their rooms during most hang-outs. I took a babysitting job in college and ended up being hired to sort and organize every room in the house. Before long, I was consulting with other families in the neighborhood who had heard about me at Bunco. You see, going into spaces and evaluating how they can function better became second nature.

After earning an Associate of Arts degree in Communication and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations, I worked for several large organizations where my professional skills flourished. Additionally, I was the go-to person to reorganize existing files, supply closets, and workspaces. Ultimately, I decided to turn my long-time avocation for enhancing peoples’ spaces into my profession!

After receiving the accreditation of a Certified Redesign Specialist (CRS) as well as a Certified Staging Specialist (CSS) from the Academy of Staging and Redesign, I created Sorted & Staged Home Enhancement Services in 2008. Since then, I have been a featured expert on several FOX 43 Morning News segments and in Central Penn Business Journal as one of 10 featured Entrepreneurs Under 30, in Central Pennsylvania. I volunteer my time with Junior Achievement of South Central PA, empowering young people to own their future economic success; my favorite is teaching 5th graders about entrepreneurship!
